New Beginning

Hello everybody and welcome to a brand NEW YEAR!
It's the first day of 2018 which will be totally awesome, right?
Let me invite you to a whole fabulous year with Simon Says Stamp.

This first week of new year the theme is obviously

SOMETHING NEW (anything)

and we showcasing Simon Says Stamp fabulous products!

As all the Mondays of last year you could be a winner of $50 voucher
and then spread your shopping wings at Simon Says Stamp Store!

My NEW project is about a Totally New Beginning.
I made a trio of ATCs for my crafring friend who is changing her life
and starting a brand new, better one. This trio is all about this transformation. That is why I started with dark grey colors and then been adding others.
The last one is colorful and full of hope. The same is with the girl who was growing until she was big, strong and ready to start again.

I started with cutting my ATCs from a solid cardboard and took some leftovers (which I rarely throw away) and glued them to the bases with gel medium.
Then I applied a thin layer of white gesso and let them dry.
After, I stamped SSS Good Reading Background with my stamping platform.

When my bases were ready I played with colors.
First I gave some touches of Distress Oxide Inks melted with water,
dried and coated with mod podge.
Finally came the best part - giving more colors and showcasing the patterns
of negative die cutting. I loved the process and loved to play with oil pastels.
